Systems
Homemade Shell
A compact UNIX-like shell written in modern C++ with pipelines, I/O redirection and built-in command handling.
Approach
What I built
- Command parsing and execution flow
- Process creation using fork and execvp
- Parent-child synchronization using waitpid
- Pipelines using UNIX pipes
- Input and output redirection using dup2
- Built-in commands handled inside the shell process
Outcome
What it demonstrates
Understanding of operating-system primitives, process management, file descriptors and careful resource handling in C++.
